Aromas of crabapple, orange peel, and dried strawberries. Full-bodied, layered and very flavorful, yet there is a creamy texture and a bright and vivid finish. Shows energy. VCP does excellent rosé. Drink now.  (9/2018)

This rosé consists of 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier. A key element of its style is that it's produced with reserve wines of up to nine years of age, as well as with 12% of red wine. This is a dynamically-styled Champagne with a foundation of strawberry and raspberry fruit. It has fine structure on the palate for its vinous texture, and an overall impression of freshness. Recommended with roast scallops. (YC)   (12/2018)

This mouthwatering rosé Champagne shows textural density, sitting like raw silk on the palate and offering flavors of dried white cherry, grapefruit granita and ground ginger, with a light and lingering toast note. Drink now. (AN)   (11/2018)

This wine tastes fruitier than Yellow Label, with raspberry and grape flavors giving a sense of sweetness to the blend. There’s enough spicy acidity to keep it balanced and focused through a flinty, smoky finish.  (12/2018)

The new release of Veuve Clicquot non-vintage Brut Rosé is composed of a blend of roughly forty-five percent pinot noir, fifteen percent pinot meunier, twenty-eight percent chardonnay, with the balance of the cuvée made up of still red wine. Roughly a third of the blend is made up of reserve wines. The bouquet is bright and zesty, offering up scents of cherries, a hint of pomegranate, good minerality, warm bread and a topnote of dried rose petals. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and nicely balanced, with a youthful profile, perfectly respectable depth at the core, frothy mousse and a long, snappy finish. This is still a young wine and the dosage is probably a touch more generous to buffer the acidity of youth, but the wine is nicely focused and balanced and is another impressively successful non-vintage bottling from the new technical team at Clicquot. I would love to see this bottling someday down the road spend another year aging sur latte and given a slightly lower dosage. (Drink between 2017-2027)   (5/2017)

Dosage 10 g/l. Pinot Noir 44-48%, Chardonnay 25-29%, Pinot Meunier 13-18%. Minimum 30 months on lees. Creamy, milky aroma, really super red fruit - much more impressive and authentically rosé than many champagne brands. Not much autolysis but lots of juicy fruit to enjoy. (RH)   (1/2017)

The rich, salmon-colored NV Brut Rosé (base 2012 with a dosage of nine grams) was launched ten years ago for the first time. Based on the Yellow Label cuvée, but colored with red wine, the newest edition offers intense and ripe red fruit aromas on the clear nose. Fresh, elegant and finesse-full on the palate, this is a warm and lush character with ripe cherry flavors, fine tannins, some leather aromas and a serious finish. This is a serious expression of easy-drinking Pinot Noir. (SR)   (6/2016)

Wine Enthusiast

This is a soft rosé, smoothly textured and approachable. It has layers of rich strawberries as well as touches of red currant attractively wrapped in ripe acidity. The bottling is ready to drink. (RV)   (12/2018)
