A lovely, creamy rosé Champagne, seamlessly layering vivid acidity with dried fig, poached apricot and Mandarin orange peel fruit notes, offering exotic accents of grilled nut, curry spice and dogwood blossom that expand and echo on the finish. Disgorged winter 2015. (AN) (4/2018)

The new release of Krug Brut Rosé, which is the twentieth edition of this wine, is from the base year of 2007, with reserve wines (composing thirty-two percent of the blend) dating back to 2002. The cépages is forty-seven percent pinot noir, thirty-seven percent chardonnay and sixteen percent pinot meunier. The wine spent nine years aging sur latte and the blend includes ten percent still red wine, giving it its beautiful salmon color. The bouquet is pure, complex and the embodiment of refinement, offering up scents of tangerine, cherry skin, wheat toast, a classy base of soil and a myriad of gentle spice tones in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very elegant in profile, with an excellent core, pinpoint bubbles, bright acids and a very, very long, complex and perfectly balanced finish. Just a beautifully complete and understated wine that demands contemplation. (5/2017)
Quite deep strawberry pink. Tiny bead. Massively fruity. Explosive yet super-smooth fruit. Clearly this can age. (JR) 18/20 (8/2017)
This blend of vintages is perhaps the most consistently great pink wine in the world. Effortless, subtle, and elegant, this is not a bottle of wine that is ever flashy or showy. Every time I have had it seems to just vanish without refilling the flutes. The refined strawberry notes and haunting Pinot Noir fruit always seem to take a back seat to the company and the conversation when I have drunk it, but the memory of each experience is as vivid as yesterday. Every lover of the good things in life should try this masterpiece at least once. It is the ultimate rosé! (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne Buyer)
Krug Rosé is both unexpected and daring. It shows a broad and extensive aromatic palette, unusual for a Rosé Champagne.
As you taste Krug Rosé, you will discover harmonies of puff pastry and red-berry tart, which develop towards honey and citrus fruits.
Its floral accents and notes of dried or stewed fruit will enthrall your palate. Its extreme delicacy is enhanced by the subtlety of its fine and elegant bubbles.
