If you like your Syrah dark and deep, the Tamboerskloof from Kleinood in Stellenbosh is one of the most reliable around.
The grapes of the Kleinood Tamboerskloof John Spicer Syrah originate from a single vineyard and result in an elegant, balanced and well-structured wine that flows into the glass with an intense garnet red. The bouquet develops great nuances of ripe plums and cherries accentuated by cinnamon and a note of cedar. On the palate, the full-bodied red wine that has matured for 18 months in oak, impresses with fruity and smoky notes as well as noticeable tannins before culminating in a spicy finish.
Taste the Kleinood Tamboerskloof John Spicer Syrah preferably with dishes with dark meat, duck or game. Moreover, Asian cuisine is also highly recommendable with this red wine.
