Gran Patron Piedra Tequila Anejo

Product of Mexico

750ml / 40% ABV

Gran Patrón Piedra is an incredibly special tequila, crafted exclusively from the ancient tahona process, and then aged for over three years. This extra añejo tequila is robust and full-bodied - in many ways comparable to bourbon or scotch while maintaining tequila characteristics. The mix of American oak and French oak barrels used in the aging process creates a sweetness and a hint of dried fruit flavor.

Everything about the experience of drinking a Gran Patrón Tequila is luxurious – from the design and feel of the bottles to the beautiful weighted stoppers that top them. And of course, the tequila inside. Gran Patrón Piedra was meant to be sipped neat or to be mixed into an incredibly sophisticated Old Fashioned.

Patrón Tequilas are handcrafted at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico where people are the heart of the process, one that has remained the same since the very beginning. First, skilled jimadors uproot only the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave with the perfect sugar content and transport the heart of the plant to Hacienda Patrón where they’re hand-chopped, baked and then crushed with the tahona wheel. Gran Patrón Piedra is fermented, distilled and then aged in a combination of French oak and American oak barrels for up to four years.

Delightful aromas of dill, asparagus, baked bread and black peppercorn; following aeration subtle notes of vanilla, just-sawn oak, loose-leaf tobacco and fennel are added. Entry is poised, sap-like and delicately honeyed; mid-palate is regal, satiny textured, rich in grapy yet vegetal and spicy flavor. Concludes long, layered and succulent.
