Gran Patron Burdeos Tequila Anejo

An essential gift for the margarita lover. It is an ideal Housewarming gift to start the bar; a great Bachelor Party gift to start the night; or a College Graduation gift to start a new career.

Gran Patrón Burdeos is a luxury añejo tequila crafted in very limited quantities from only the highest-quality 100 percent Weber Blue Agave. It’s twice distilled and aged in used American and New French oak barrels before it is finished in vintage Bordeaux wine barrels (“Burdeos” is Spanish for “Bordeaux”). This unique aging process imparts an elegant dark amber color and a taste that’s velvety smooth with hints of vanilla and raisins.

Everything about the experience of drinking a Gran Patrón Tequila is luxurious – from the design and feel of the hand-polished bottles to the beautiful weighted stoppers that top them. And of course, the tequila inside. Gran Patrón Burdeos should be sipped in a room temperature tequila snifter, any time it’s offered.

“Unique in the world. Finished in first-growth Bordeaux barrels.”

Patrón Tequilas are handcrafted at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico where people are the heart of the process, one that has remained the same since the very beginning. First, skilled jimadors uproot only the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave with the perfect sugar content and transport the heart of the plant to Hacienda Patrón where they’re hand-chopped, baked and then crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone tahona wheel and a roller mill. After Burdeos is fermented, distilled and aged in American and French oak barrels for about a year, it’s then re-distilled and re-aged in new French oak barrels, finally making its way to Bordeaux wine barrels.
Delightful aromas of dill, asparagus, baked bread, and black peppercorn; following aeration subtle notes of vanilla, just-sawn oak, loose-leaf tobacco and fennel are added. Entry is poised, sap-like and delicately honeyed; mid-palate is regal, satiny textured, rich in grapy yet vegetal and spicy flavor. Concludes long, layered and succulent.
