The Sleeping Lady Cabernet Sauvignon hails from a vineyard just south of Yountville on the western side of Napa Valley. The vineyard is situated on a gentle slope at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains. The soil is alluvial cobble wash and limits the vigor of the vines. Resulting wines are structural and dense in nature. Only four and a half barrels of the 2017 Sleeping Lady were made.
Another gorgeous vintage of our most prized Cabernet. The 2017 Sleeping Lady Cabernet Sauvignon is a dense and complex wine. The nose of this wine is accentuated with dark fruits notes of clove, anise and crushed rock. It has layers of nuance and will age for decades. This vintage reminds us of wines from the northern Medoc: powerful, structured and stoic.
Our labels incorporate patterns and textures that occur in nature. This one is repetitive in soils and water. Artwork by Jonny Alexander.
