FLOWERS SEAVIEW PINOT NOIR
Winemaker's Notes A ruby core of medium-intensity gives way to a complex nose that is seductive and reminiscent of the ruggedness of SeaView Ridge: wild huckleberry, morels, cinnamon, lavender and sage. The palate is soft and inviting with verve and a perfect balance between fruit expression and crushed-stone earthiness. A silky, fine-grained tannin structure, derived from whole cluster fermentation, graces a long and complete finish.
Wine Enthusiast - "This is an intriguingly light, lean and savory wine, true to its extreme Sonoma Coast provenance. The color and texture tip one off to its ethereal nature, a blend of shy cranberry, rhubarb and exotic spice. The long finish highlights the flavors and freshness. "
Wilfred Wong of Wine.com - "One of the great wines of the year, I am not sure if I have tasted many better wines from this vintage than the 2012 Flowers Sea View Ridge Pinot Noir. Medium ruby, garnet color; fresh, pure and super fine aromas of wild strawberries and fragrant flowers, some earth to keep the wine grounded, excellent depth and persistence; medium bodied, zesty, zippy and sinful on the palate, this wine is so alive, nice textures add a feeling of satisfaction; long finish, brisk and bright in the aftertaste.
