Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
The 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless wine that expresses bright, fresh fruit characters from an unusually cool California vintage. It has a vibrant, ruby color and a complex nose of boysenberries, blueberries, sage, licorice and roasted chicory. It has a luscious mouthfeel with notes of fresh fruit and carnation flowers on the palate. It has fine-grained tannins and a velvety texture that leads to a long, fruit-filled finish. Given proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2031.
Blend: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc
Wine Spectator - "Shows a good touch of bottle age and a notably oaky presence, marked by dill, vanilla bean and coconut notes wrapped around a rich, authoritative, full-bodied core of loamy earth, dark berry, licorice and espresso. Drink now through 2028."
Wilfred Wong of Wine.com - "A pretty dazzling effort from one of America's very best Cabernet producers! The Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet has deep ruby, black color. powerful and impressive aromas of black fruit, pencil lead and oak, lots going on here to love; medium to full bodied, well-built on the palate; dry, medium acidity, well balanced powerful black fruit and sweet oak flavors; long finish, youngish aftertaste.
